The CARS & STARS Online program helps you quickly identify which of the 12 standards-based reading comprehension strategies your students might be struggling to understand. Informed by this data, smart recommendations on instructional strategy lessons is recommended to help individual students remediate areas that require reinforcement. It completely supports what children learn at school and will help to improve your child's literacy results.
When students start the program, they can complete a placement test to ensure they are starting at the correct reading level.
Both teacher and parent can access detailed progress reports as well as teaching guides that correspond with the lessons in the program.
The program includes eight main reading levels from A to H, with CARS & STARS level AA arriving in Term 1, 2020.
You shouldn't have to spend valuable time correcting answers or assessing what to teach next. With CARS & STARS Online, you can now easily monitor progress on every student's device at the same time, or immediately generate class overview or student summary reports that show individual strengths and weaknesses in the twelve reading strategies.

This is currently the equivalent of the content of nine printed CARS books and nine printed STARS books! Students are presented with the same stories as in the printed workbook but in a full-colour, illustrated digital format. With the guidance of our program, students can avoid being stranded, with step-by-step instructions on how to improve and what to do next. Students are not limited by content available, but only by their desire to do better.
Whether a student gets the answer right or wrong is not as important as understanding why. Alongside our auto-marking feature, students can view which answers were correct or incorrect, coupled with explanations of why this is the case.
Allow your students to easily control their device's font size. Read Aloud can be switched on to allow students to listen to content instead of reading it themselves. This feature increases word exposure and improves vocabulary.
